Spam in my Comments
Help! Calling all savvy Blogger friends! I'm getting anonymous and highly annoying spam comments on the blog and it's driving me crazy. I'm leaving the one in the latest post (before this one) for an example. I've been going in and manually deleting them. Does anyone know how I can block them? I don't want to have to monitor all my comments before they are published, but maybe that's the only answer?

I think if you make people input a word to input to see (like when you buy ticketmaster tickets) it helps. Try that!
it is called word verification!
Yeah, you should definitely look into word verification.
Go to settings>comments and scroll down to where it says "Show word verification for comments?" and click "Yes".

You could instead make it so only registered users (or members) can comment and not anonymous users...
...this would be in Settings tab then Comments tab...

You could also set it so you have to approve each comment. Basically, the comment is emailed to you and then you have to click a link to approve and publish it. The word verification should help, too. Sorry about the annoyance.
